It was about 3am when the ground started shaking.  I was already awake because our dog was going crazy.  He usually never barks. I ran upstairs to check on the kids, but they were already huddled under the dining room table.  Just as soon as the quake started, it was over. Aside from a few broken plates, everyone was OK. We practiced for this. Then, the whole house went dark.  No lights. No internet. No power. We had blackouts before, but never one that lasted three days.

Robin is an all-in-one solar generator with panel, battery, and power inverter all in one kit.  This is our smallest solar generator, ideal for customers that need to recharge phones, laptops, and tools while out and about.  It can also provide emergency power for small items like internet modems and handheld radios during a power outage.

The power unit supplied with the Robin has a built in LED light with two power levels so you can light things up after dark without moving the entire panel.  The solar panel has a kickstand with a locking hinge to keep the panel facing the sun at all times. This kickstand can be staked into the ground with an eyehole to keep it in place during high winds.

Be realistic about what the Robin can power!  It takes 4 to 8 hours to completely recharge the built-in battery.  This small lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery is about twice the size as a laptop battery.   We supply this kit with a plug-in power meter so you can measure the electrical loads of your items to get an idea of how power they use.

    • 50 Watt Solar Panel (12 volts)
    • 150 Watt-Hour Lithium Battery (LFP)
