"I keep a handful of small electronics in my emergency kit: a flashlight, some two-way radios, my camera, and AA battery charger. I'm looking for a battery unit that could recharge these devices, maybe with a solar panel..."
Overview: After food and water, our nano charger should be the next thing in your emergency kit. This unit is the ideal size for powering small electronics and tool chargers. With a built in 120vAC power socket, 12v cigarette lighter port, and two USB ports, it can recharge almost any battery powered tool or portable electronic device.
This unit also has a built-in LED light with two power settings for lighting things up after dark. It can recharged with any 12v solar panel with a total power of up to 50 watts. All features on the unit can be used while the solar panel is charging the battery, including the inverter.
Guaranteed to power:
USB Phone/Tablet Chargers (3.1A USB)
Internet Routers & Modems
Tool Battery Chargers
Air mattress pumps
Portable Point-of-Sale Systems
How do I use it?: A small control panel on the front of the screen displays the battery level. There are buttons around the display to activate the USB ports & 12v outputs. A separate button activates the built-in 120vAC inverter, providing power to the two wall outlets on the side of the unit. Another button activates the build-in LED lights on the other side. By connecting a solar panel to the unit, it will automatically turn on the screen to show a re-charging battery.
